Game Overview

Strategy, timing, and territory

Evernight begins with a single region and a larger question: how far can you expand before every neighboring kingdom decides you have become the problem?

Players deploy forces, launch calculated attacks, negotiate, threaten, and read the map for weakness. The appeal is not reaction speed; it is planning, risk, alliances, timing, and reading the intentions of other players before the next turn resolves.

How It Fits Together

The components of an Evernight game

Player

You enter as a ruler with a small kingdom, starting from one region and trying to survive the ambitions of everyone nearby.

Regions

The map is divided into conquerable regions. Borders matter because armies move through neighboring territory and every expansion changes who can reach you.

Orders

Each cycle, players use the War Room to assign movement, attacks, spells, and other decisions before the turn processes.

Forces

Lessers and other entities hold land, attack rivals, defend borders, and create the battle results that drive the next round of choices.

Power

Treasure supports structures and combat forces. Fury comes from battle and is spent on spells and Forms.

Resolution

Orders resolve together at the tick. Players return to read battle results, adjust to the new map, and decide what the next cycle demands.

Core Loop

Orders in. World changed.

01

Begin with one region

Every player starts small, then expands by committing forces into neighboring regions and rival kingdoms.

02

Use the War Room

The War Room is where players review the map, move armies, cast spells, and prepare the next cycle of orders.

03

Resolve together

Turns process at set times, with player orders resolving simultaneously. The next login reveals the consequences.

Game World

Midia is still the map

The fiction centers on Midia, a world in long darkness, ruined nations, old religions, and summoned Forms. Chron, Zan, Mindbender, Incinerak, Bork, and Crank still give the game its recognizable mythic frame.

Additional lore, screenshots, and player-facing history still matter, but the story no longer stops at preservation. Evernight is moving forward again.

Evernight map gameplay interface
The map and gameplay interface remain important because they are immediately recognizable to former Evernight players.

The Verse

The Forms give the world its shape

Colossa
Chron

Calls forth the Colossa, a fortress-sized force of stone, endurance, and ruin.

Amber Dragon
Zan

Summons the Amber Dragon, the noble winged power tied to purity, lightning, and the old war.

Black Dragon
Mindbender

Releases the Black Dragon, a destructive and poisonous form born from the darker side of Midia's mythology.

Magma Demon
Incinerak

Commands the Magma Demon, a cruel and volatile presence from fire, vengeance, and treachery.

Wooden
Bork

Manifests the Woodens, strange and ancient beings tied to madness, illusion, and hidden strength.

Iron Hulk
Crank

Awakens the Iron Hulks, mechanical remnants of a lost age returning from beneath the ground.

Game Systems

Conquest has teeth

Entities

Lessers, mounts, beasts, dragons, hulks, and other battlefield entities make control of a region more than a number on a map.

Spells

The legacy rule set includes 36 spells across six traditions, used to reshape terrain, strengthen forces, weaken rivals, and change the cost of a decision after orders are already in motion.

Resources

Treasure fuels structures and combat forces. Fury is earned through battle and spent on spells and Forms, turning violence into future power.

Terrain

Plains, dunes, swamps, dead forests, mountains, and frozen seas each affect movement, visibility, survival, or production, making the map itself part of the strategy.

History

A short record of Midia's fall

Golden Age

Midia was once a world of sunlit nations, commerce, and culture before old powers began to surface.

Bork Rises

Nergal the Mad brought forth Bork, breaking the old age and pushing Midia toward ruin.

K'Ar Tuf

The Queen of Mystery stood against that darkness, drawing on relics and prophecy in the struggle for the world.

Evernight

The final catastrophe destroyed the sun and cast the broken shards of power across the world now known as Evernight.

The Forms

From those places of power came the Forms, immense beings whose war left the world fractured, dangerous, and ready for players to contest.

Current Status

Live legacy game. Active rebuild.

Evernight remains online and accessible. The live legacy game has not been abandoned, sunset, or reduced to an archive.

The active game site remains the place for player access, subscriptions, and donations. F12Games continues to keep that operating path available while redevelopment progresses.

Development is no longer paused. The project is being rebuilt with a clearer path toward a stronger future platform.

Rebuild Direction

Why Evernight now sits at the center of F12Games again

F12Games was formed with Evernight at the center of its purpose. That relationship is now active again, not just historical.

This site explains the game's identity, the live legacy experience, and the fact that a new rebuild is underway without trying to replace the technical wiki or the player-facing game site.

History

Past eras still matter

Older screenshots, lore, fan art, and updates still belong in the archive when clearly framed as historical material.
